Work History:
My first taste of real-world work experience was in the summer of 2017, the summer before my senior year of high school. I had gotten the amazing opportunity to spend my summer at the publishing company Scholastic. Inc where I was an intern for their Merchandising department. I did research into elementary school curriculum, helped test the company website from the customer's end, and worked on a summer long project with the rest of the interns where we compared subscription services with other companies.

After that summer, I returned again for the summer of 2018 and 2019, but this time I interned in their Operations department. I cataloged different Scholastic products into a database and sent out sample copies to different departments, both within the building, and to other states. The intern project in 2019, I developed a rewards program for the parents of Scholastic and had the chance to present it to the President of the department (and I received praise for that boosted my confidence greatly that day). I was supposed to return for the summer of 2020, but for obvious reasons that didn't happen.

Starting in August to December of 2020, I picked up a warehouse job that I balanced with my class schedule. There I took part in quality assurance for orders as well as new products that came in from the factories. These products were also properly catalogued and sorted. I left that job in January as I would return back to campus to complete my spring semester at Rutgers.

Upon returning back home after the spring semester I got a job working as a teacher's aid at The Learning Experience Children's Daycare. I worked from May to August in 2021. It was definitely not the summer job that I expected, but it was absolutely a memorable one. This experience really forced me to refine my people skills when talking with parents about their kids as well as working with the other teachers.

Now I am back on campus finishing up the fall semester of my senior year and looking for new opportunities that come my way.

Content Writer
In my free time I am also a content writer for a Nerf hobby shop. The shop is OutofDarts, and Luke, the owner of the shop reached out to me in 2019, to ask if I could write content for his blog. I excitedly jumped at the opportunity to work with him and his company. The blog was on hiatus through 2020 because of the pandemic, but I am excited to be working with him again. Getting to create content in a hobby that I love a lot has been really rewarding.
